The Columns on Clinton is situated in the midst of the major historic region and is set on tranquil tree lined 2 block avenue that was one of Philadelphia's 1st historic areas with period boulevard lamps suitable to 1830's. The guesthouse is six blocks to Independence Hall/Liberty Bell, 7 blocks to Pennsylvania Convention Center, 2 blocks to Jefferson, Wills Eye and 1 to Pennsylvania Hospitals; one block from Philadelphia's Historic Antique Row and the Trolley Tour stop. The cottage is but a short taxi or bus ride to University of Penn/Drexel campuses, Children's Hospital at Penn (CHUP) and University of Penn Hospital. Nutritious breakfas provided on varied times (8-10). Formal space on the ground floor is used by visitors as a parlor and breakfast room. All of our rooms are centered around the impressive staircase, which is open as a little atrium through 4 floors and is flooded with natural light. All your requests get the hotel's care and suggestions. Home is non-smoking, with central heating and air conditioning. Most apartments have decorative fireplaces and are enchased with vintage furniture and accessories/original art works. Some visitor suites have a supplemental window A/C with remote controls. Every room is patterned to a topic revolving around Philadelphia's heritage. Suites with twin, double, queen and king-sized beds are appointed with all-cotton sheets, towels and robes. Suites have privately-owned and shared baths, which are vintage and modern/ with shower or tub/shower. A cot able to added to some suites upon approval and availability.
