General Information

The Penguin Hotel, is a brilliant specimen of 1940's Late Art Deco fashion, which suggests the upcoming International Style of the fifties and sixties. Its original name was The Golden Dawn Hotel. The inn is located directly on Ocean Drive and 14th st, the “quiet side” of Miami Beach, directly across from the scenic South Beach and only several steps away from Lincoln Road, popular restaurants, bars and clubs.

The property, presently under Swiss Management, was with taste refurbished in 2006 by a French Designer. This hip hotel is proud of 42 non-smoking visitor suites which are all various and specific, every appointed with one wall completely covered with a picture portraying bunchs of flowers, nature and other natural elements. The topic colour of the Penguin is blue, thanks its vicinity to the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the crisp and bright decorated with taste visitor apartments. The inn consists of 8 straight ocean panorama suites, with built-in seating at the window’s edge, to enhance the viewing experience. “Ocean Front” and “Ocean Corner” apartments in The Penguin Hotel feature panoramic strip windows with fabulous ocean vistas, in addition to glorious views of South Beach, and a lot of light and sunshine.

The Penguin Hotel facilities include wet bars with marble countertops, sinks, and compact refrigerators. Flat-screen TVs in every apartment high-thread-count linens, bureaus, nightstands, and Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers.

Guests have also access to the facilities of the sister property the President Hotel (located directly beyond the Penguin Hotel), which provides a beautiful, relaxing courtyard with a exhilarating wade pool and brasserie, which is open for Happy Hour. There is a refundable safety deposit of USD50 per room/per night, max. Usd500per visit which able to be paid in cash or CC upon check in.

NOTE: Starting March 1, 2011 there is a $15. 00 + 7% tax daily Resort Fee to be collected upon check in by the inn.
