General Information
Initially 2 cottages built over 100 years ago, the 1st house was constructed in the late 1600s and is one of the oldest properties in the Village of Seaton. The cottages have been softly refurbished to a greatly high standard, retaining plenty of of the original has. A stone staircase, oak beams, a spacious walk-in inglenook hearth, wooden and stone floors fill the house with ancient world fascination. We are waiting for hospitable you to our Workington B&B. Embedded in half an acre of land with a little orchard, the house features forest burning stoves in the hall and breakfast room and is centrally heated throughout. There are slate floors in the hall and lounge with forest floors in the breakfast room and bedroom. A superking sized bed will warrant a restful nights sleep while the broadband I-net access will keep you linked to the world outside. A full English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients is also accessible. Packed snacks able to be made up on demand. The countryside of Seaton nestles between the cities of Workington and Cockermouth. Seaton is an old-time countryside with free access to the vivid waterside plains of the Solway Firth with its lovely views towards the Scottish hills, and fells of the Lake District. Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Crummock Water, Buttermere and Loweswater are all a short ride away. Customers to the region who are interested in historical topics see a prosperity of Roman heritage. As a continuation of the Roman Wall, the Romans built a series of forts all down the Solway beach, including ones at Workington and Maryport. The plurality southerly of these forts able to be seen at Hardknott Pass.
