They started to build the Bridge Inn in 1900 and completed it in 1906 in the decor of an Old English Coaching Inn. The Bridge Inn is located in the very heart of vivid Port Sunlight and is one of the 900 grade 11 listed buildings contained with in this one of its kind countryside. The structure was constructed by William Hesketh Lever for his soap factory team and named after his celebrated Sunlight Soap. It was a temperance Hotel till 1903 when the vote was cast and the sale of alcohol was allowed. Exit M56 at fusion 15 onto M53 following signs for LiverpoolBirkenhead. Exit M53 at mix five following A41 towards BromboroughBirkenhead for approx three. two miles. At major roundabout turn left into Port Sunlight. The Bridge inn is situated approx 500mtrs on right hand side of Bolton Rd. From Liverpool take Birkenhead Tunnel exiting onto A41 following sings for Chester. At end of dual carriageway, at roundabout, turn right into Port Sunlight then as above.
