General Information

Ivy Bank is a picturesque Victorian cottage built in the 1890's from local slate and holds plenty of of its original has. Within 30 minutes stroll from Ivy Bank there are a few pleasant viewpoints, the lakeshore and tumbling waterfalls. We are located on a tranquil highway away from major thoroughfares within several mins stroll of the all the countryside service. All our nice bedrooms are en-suite and are offered with a flat screen TV and DVD player, radioalarm clock, hair dryer, a choice of toiletries and cordiality tray. Further to, our two larger apartments have a sofa. We have off highway car park and secure storage for bikes. Clients staying at Ivy Bank have discounted use of a local recreation club. This consists of swimming pool, sauna, steam suite, ice apartment and gymnasium. We offer an unofficial and soothing atmosphere, well furnished and attractively enhanced rooms and a famous choice for lunch.

Transportation

From THE SOUTHTravelling north on the M6, leave the highway at combination 36, turn left and follow the A591 to Windermere - this takes approximately 25 min. When you get to the countryside turn left opposite the National Westminster Bank. Follow the one-way system downhill, along Crescent Road, past the Co-op Welcome supermarket and then take the 1st turning left into Broad Street. Go to the end of Broad Street and turn right into Woodland Road. Then take the 1st right into Holly Road. Ivy Bank is the 4th cottage on the left. From THE NORTH Travelling South on the M6 the majority enchanting route is to leave the highway at mix 40 close to Penrith and take the A66 towards Keswick. At the following roundabout follow the signs for the A592 which you visit on for approximately fourty minutes. (If you see the sign for Aira Force on the right and you have time, there is a pleasing stroll up to the waterfall). After going over the Kirkstone Pass and coming down the Troutbeck Valley you get to the A591 at a little roundabout. Turn left here. After approximately half a mile take a right turn opposite the 'Rockside' Guest House, this takes you into Windermere countryside heart. You arrive onto the one-way system and once you have passed the Co-op Welcome supermarket take the 1st left turn into Broad Street. Go to the end of Broad Street and turn right into Woodland Road. Then take the 1st right into Holly Road. Ivy bank is the 4th cottage on the left.
