Oaklands is located in one of the oldest cities in the Cotswolds – dating back to 980 AD. Historically, Winchcombe was the capital of Mercia and is proud of St. Peter's Church with its excellent gargoyles, Sudeley Castle the resting site of Henry V111's last wife Catherine Parr and Hailes Abbey are among local sights. Gwr, Prescott Hill Climb and Stanway Fountain (Britain's highest fountain and the world's highest gravity fountain), are within several miles. Winchcombe lies on The Cotswold Way and plenty of other pleasing strolling routes and Oaklands proposes the ideal place for to rest weary feet. Oaklands is around ten miles from Cheltenham a Regency Spa city of famous character with its gracious tree lined avenues, gardens, terraces and the far-famed Cheltenham Racecourse. The major cottage is circa 1900, which provides 5 bedrooms. A further 3 able to be found in the annex, built in 1985. There is a passenger elevator to the ground floor and wheelchair access. Some free living aids are available on the occasion of a demand. Oaklands proposes family rooms one with bunk bed & one with a single bed. Travel cots, highchairs and a choice of kids' films and games are accessible. Full cooked breakfasts are offered for visitors in the mornings.
