Located on the A573 major highway into Wigan, the Coaching Inn Hotel features a proper serene location, whatever your reason for visiting the area. Just a mile (1. 6 km) from the centre of the town, the hotel's provides easy access to the region's main highway net. There is a magnificent, regular bus facilities to and from the centre of the town. Independent, safe, private car park is obtainable for guests' use. Built in 1895, this Victorian guesthouse is wealthy in individual character, with 18 bright and homely en room apartments (no clean-cut lines like contemporary hotels). Transportation

By Car From the South: - Leave the M6 at mix 23 and turn right on to the A580 signposted to Manchester. - Follow the highway along till you get to the 1st roundabout. Turn left onto the A573. - Follow signs for Golbourne, Abram and Wigan. - Continue along this highway for about four miles and the guesthouse is located on the left-hand side. From the North: - Leave the M6 at blend 27. - Follow the signs to Wigan (approximately four miles). - When you get to the duel carriageway (passing Tesco on your right), turn left at the second set of traffic lights, following signs for the A573 Golbourne. - Pass Wigan Little Theatre on the left. - Continue along this highway through two sets of traffic lights for about one mile. The inn is on the right-hand side.
