Parking is obtainable on the forcourt and at the back of the Hotel. Independent Wi-Fi accessible. Transportation

Whitley Bay is known as 'Newcastle's Coast', this popular guest destination is just 10 miles east of Newcastle, 6 miles from the beginning of Hadrian's Wall and four miles from the International ferry terminal at North Shields. Not only an excellent spot to visit whether you're working in the region but further a nice base for you to discover the vivid regions of Northumbria and Durham. By auto from the A1 follow signs for the A19 (Tyne Tunnel). Then take the A1058 (East) which takes you directly to the vivid coastline of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. The A193 will bring you right to the York House Hotel and Apartments. By rail, Whitley Bay is catered by a superior local Metro train system that gives scenic access to all main regions of North Tyneside and to the wider area including Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland. The Metro links directly to Newcastle Central Station allowing direct access to the major east beach rail net linking Edinburgh to London. By air, Newcastle International Airport is only thirty minutes drive by auto and is also linked to the Metro train system.
