General Information
The Lansbury is a clear welcoming local family run bed & breakfast lodging. We took over in March 2004 and have fully reconditioned every room to a high standard. Whitby's skyline is dominated by the ruins of St. Hilda's Abbey, high on Whitby's East Cliff. Spreading below Whitby, a maze of alleyways and narrow streets run down to the busy quayside. From the ancient town of Whitby, 199 steps lead up to the parish church of St. Mary, whose churchyard on Whitby's East Cliff gave Bram Stoker the inspiration to write his world well-known book, Dracula Whitby is located on the Yorkshire Coast. To the south lies the waterside countrysides and spas of Ravenscar, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. All these are well within a short ride from Whitby. We have 1 king-size and four exceptional super kingsize beds with double en-suite showers and two normal doubles with en-suite. All suites have freeview tv. We are based on the west rock of whitby, which places it a 5 minute stroll from both the city center and the coast. Voted ultimate client serice by whitby cordiality association.
