The Clarence is superbly located in a tranquil tranquil location beyond the Alexandra Gardens on the Esplanade. Most of the local sights and facilities are within in a highly simple short meander. The city center with all the usual butiques and pubs is just several minutes away. The renowned award winning Weymouth Beach is a 2 minute amble from the facade door. On your way to the coast stop and enjoy the internationally celebrated sand carvings. Weymouth's lively working harbor is directly mins from The Clarence. Whether a trip to the Channel Islands is on your agenda then the Conor Ferry Terminal is but a short meander. And while heading in that direction you'll also pass the Pavillion Theatre. In summer time months the Pavillion features a full program of amusement. On the far side of the haven is the Nothe Fort. Admire the stroll around the haven that will also take you past Brewers Quay. Alternatively, take a short cut and be rowed to the other side of the haven. The ferries depart from the steps close to the Condor Ferrry Terminal. Eating out at night? There are some lovely restaurants close to The Clarence. If you fancy conventional fish & chips, locally landed fish, a steak, Chinese, Indian, Italian or just beautiful pub grub you are to find a spot to eat surrounding. Weymouth features a varied night life. In addition to the Pavillion there are numerous pubs some of which have live amusement on a regular basis. A 10 pin bowling ally and a multi creen theatre are also within short stroll distance.
