The Gainsboro is a charming Victorian House with all the character expected in a home of that era. It is embedded in a rural serene location, with an attractive outlook and a tranquil Guest Lounge. We are located near Torre Abbey, with it is wonderful gardens, a 300 yard level amble from the Beach. Near all the amenties of the Riviera International Centre (Conferences and Leisure), Marina, Theatre, Harbour and Main Shopping, a 200 yard level amble from Torquay Railway Station. Advantageously located for functions held at the Grand Hotel 250 yards away. On arrival, you are welcome to tea / coffee to assist you rest after your trip. The Gainsboro features off highway car park and is the whole year round. We guarantee you of a cheerful, unofficial and informal atmosphere. Torquay's waterfront is packed with scenic pavement cafes, bars and tasteful seafood restaurants, and the selection of specific shops is to die for. At night you have an option of theatres, providing a renowned selection of shows. Surrounding, the countrysides of Babbacombe and St Marychurch every have their own individual appeal and park amusements. At nice Cockington, you are able to discover Cockington Court and Country Park, with craft heart, tearooms and lavish, relaxing terraces. Investigate Torre Abbey and wander via the Mansion House, home to Torbay's art range. Take a walk along the Agatha Christie Mile, discovering places that inspired the life and works of the major writer. Please take into account we only accept families with kids over five years of age.
