Our seventeenth centuty Longhouse, nestled among rolling Devonshire mountains, is packed full of original characteristics and rustic Devon character. The commodious hall and breakfast room have oak beams and commodious inglenook fireplaces; the houe is embedded in 1 acre of panoramic gardens providing the perfect state escape. We provide sumptuous suppers with an adventurous touch ensuring a unique dining experience. We are fully licenced and propose a well stocked brasserie and roomy wine catalogue. After a blissfully tranquil and restful night's sleep, wake up to an excellently ready breakfast with fresh eggs from our own self-sufficient collection hens and home-made bread just waiting to be spread with local Devonshire butter and a dollop of jam! Our farmhouse is perfect for work or recreation. It features five double, enjoyable and individualy colored en-suite bedrooms and one twin bedded suite with individual bathroom. Sampson Barton is in a super serene location, only three miles from South Molton, gateway to Exmoor National Park. This is good for the professional walker or those just out for a casual walk to take in the wondrous vistas. Whether you favour a reviving stroll along the sands then Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde Beaches are just a 30 minute drive away. Golfing, fishing and horse riding amenities are attainable in abundance and with plenty of RHS Gardens and National Trust properties in the area, there is definately something for every person! Whatever you select to do, we want you to go through at home and come and go as you please.

Transportation

Exit M5 at mix 27, take A361 towards Barnstaple. 6 miles, roundabout, visit on A361 to Barnstaple. 16 miles, roundabout, exit left to South Molton. two miles, proceed through South Molton, visit on major highway which bears left and signposted B3226 Crediton. On surroundings of South Molton, turn left signposted George Nypmton. two miles, through George Nympton, proceed downhill, over bridge and turn right into lane signposted Sampson. Proceed uphill and we are 34 of a mile on the left.
