Welcome to the Maypole Inn. We are situated in Long Preston, and are a Seventeenth-century inn on the countryside green. From the Inn there is direct access to plenty of fascinating strolls in the Yorkshire Dales. The Maypole Inn features a long and strong image for serving delightful home cooking in its pleasant, wide breakfast room. In addition to conventional pub dishes, there is a varied carte menu of daily specials which comprise vegetarian and fish dishes. The 2 homely bars both have open fires in winter, we are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide (current holders of Pub of the season for spring 2009) and Good Pub Guide, inclusion in these guides is by recommendation only. There is an outside drinking region looking out to the mountains beyond. The countryside Long Preston lies in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's an attractive heart for strolling, cycling or tourism weekends: open moorland, the hill slopes of the Pennines, caves and waterfalls are all within a short distance of the countryside. Training and relaxation activities are served for locally including strolling, pony trekking, mountain climbing, cycling, pot holing, fishing and hole golf. Our 6 bedrooms give well equipped, cosy lodging of four-star Inn rating inspected by the English Tourist Board. Every room is equipped with a confidential bathroom, tv and facilities of making tea/coffee. The suites vary in size and able to accommodate everyone from single customers to family groups. There is a disunite living room for visitors and roomy off-road car parking.
