Welcome to The Albright Hussey Manor Hotel and Restaurant; a listed Grade II farmstead, with a prestige for excellence in its lodging, cuisine and faultless amenities. Standing in four acres of panoramic gardens in the idyllic, open Shropshire village, Albright Hussey is perfectly located just in the suburbs of the historic city of Shrewsbury. 1st recorded in the Domesday Book as 'Elbretone', today Albright Hussey contains all the spell and character of its heritage. In 1292, to avoid confusion with other site names similar to 'Albrighton' the name 'Hussey' was added after the family who occupied it. The Hussey family remained here till the 17th Century, and the estate passed to the Corbets in 1634. During this period Albright Hussey skilled a wealthy heritage. The Battle Of Shrewsbury was fought on surrounding fields in 1403 and Royalist troops used it as a garrison in 1741. The present cottage, dating back to Tudor times, mirrors a prosperity of heritage. Rebuilt in 1524, the timber framed section is the earliest part, the brick and stone wing being added by 1560.
