The Heatherleigh Guesthouse is located close to Blue Flag beaches, thatched countrysides and pretty waterside paths, it's the ideal place to beginning the adventure of discovering the hidden bays and countrysides on this prime island. Come and visit with us for a short break or longer, on the incomparable and attractive Isle of Wight. All bedrooms are en-suite with full amenities and some have sea panorama. We have a licenced brasserie, visitor hall and parking zone for our dear guests. The waterside resort of Shanklin is situated at the south east corner of the Island at the southern most tip of Sandown Bay. The city is well catered by the railroad, which connects to the high speed ferry terminal at the upper of Ryde Pier, allowing direct access to the continental and London. Shanklin features long been a serene location for family weekends, with a secure sandy coastline and clean waters. The whirlpool is sheltered from the prevailing wind by Dunnose Point, which is a gorgeous backdrop, with the tall cliffs of Luccombe and St. Boniface Downs behind. Looking out to The English Channel across the creek, vistas extend around to the White Cliffs of Culver and Bembridge Downs. By the coast there is pitch and putt, children’s amusements and parking. A elevator offers easy access to the rock tops, where the vistas are even more impressive, so the less energetic or disabled persons don’t have to climb the steps. The seafront is a true attraction for guests to the city with a prosperity of eating establishments, three pubs and a little highway train which offers a regular facilities via the summer to the city center and Old Village. Shanklin is most well-known for its gorgeous weather and the picturesque Old Village, which is situated on the south side of the city, towards Ventnor and Bonchurch. The countryside is highly beautiful and most travellers head to the region for the thatched cottages, quaint butiques and antique fashioned tea suites, which not just propose cream teas, but sea food peculiarities and lavish environment.
