Rustic Cottage Salisbury

General Information

Rural Cottage is situated approximately a mile from the very heart of the historic town of Salisbury. The house, which is approximately 200 years antique, has recently been absolutely refurbished and modernised. Nevertheless, with its oak beam ceilings and open fireplaces, it contains much of its original spell. The house features consistently been given Quality in Tourism Council Four Star Rating and in the past 2 years features received Gold awards. The house was modernised to current environmental standards and uses a system of photovoltaic panels to supplement electricity supply. It currently hold a Green Tourism Bronze award. The house able to sleep up to five persons in three bedrooms: one is a double, the 2nd bedroom features twin beds and the third is a single. The wide bathroom upstairs and shower suite downstairs both have their own toilet. The fully furnished huge kitchen-diner downstairs comes with up-to-date fitted cupboards, a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave in addition to the traditional cooking appliances. There is a comfortable living room with original oak beamed ceiling and a conventional hearth with a forest burning stove. Wi Fi Internet access is availble throughout the house. We are specially pleased of the park which used to be a steep and inaccessible bank which had been the cottage ‘midden’ ever since it was constructed and now includes 3 gardens. The upper verandah park enjoys attractive views and features a lawn and a spacious decking district, a barbecue and seating for soothing with your meal and a drink. You are able to leave the kitchen dining districts through French doors to the patio on the lowest level. This features seating for lunch and the odd cup of coffee in the sun. There is big parking for two autos and a quiet solitary pond. Please take into account that, because of the steep staircase leading to the top park and and the pond, the use of the premises is not advised for kids under five years and elderly or disabled people.
