General Information
Newton Farmhouse is located 6 miles from the Cathedral town of Salisbury (which brags the most high spire in England, an original copy of the Magna Carta and the oldest known working clock). The old monument of Stonehenge is not far from and we are on the edge of New Forest, where wild ponies and deer able to be seen roaming freely. We are conveniently situated for visits to the historic Cathedral town of Winchester and the maritime town of Portsmouth with Lord Nelson's flagship 'HMS Victory' and HMS Warrior, the 1st ever iron clad warship. There are also numerous maritime museums including the 'Mary Rose' museum, where Henry VIII's flagship is now housed along with 1, 200 artifacts which were found following the recovery of the vessel in 1982 from the sea bed where she lay undisturbed since 1545. The region is prominent for the a lot of National Trust properties and terraces which are open to customers. Other surrounding sights include Heal and Exbury terraces, Broadlands, Avebury, Longleat, Poultons Park, the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Wilton House and a lot of, a lot of more, plus wonderful fishing, strolling, horse riding and hole golf. A full cooked English breakfast is catered between 8 and 9 am Monday-Saturday and 9-10 on Sundays. A choice of just prepared fruit and yoghurt along with danish pastries, cereals and juices.
