General Information

We have 3 visitor bedrooms all fully en-suite, centrally heated and attractively equiped to a high standard. Fresh bunchs of flowers, fresh fruit and other personal touches too numerous to list. All have remote control color TV, tea/coffee making amenities & mineral water. There is a possibility for you to appreciate the advantage of antique pine double beds, idyllic patchwork quilts, crisp white cotton sheets and fluffy white towels, and graceful bunchs of flowers to invite you. There is a captivating visitor hall, solely for the use of our dear guests, with roaring log fires in the winter. Here, we greet our dear guests when they arrive with a pot of tea or savoury coffee and home made cakes to assist them rest after their trip. Our dear guests are welcome to use the hall during the day or rest in the evening after a meal. A more new addition is the ‘Reading Lounge’ providing our dear guests with a quiet setting in which they can unwind and plan their next days adventure, using our wide variety of treveller and local data, maps and guides. A laptop computer is catered, allowing access to the I-net. The Wye Valley is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Norton House is within several mins stroll from the River Wye at Symonds Yat West, and features vistas over the ‘Great Doward’ and ‘Little Doward’ mountains, maintained by The Forestry Commission, Woodland Trust and the 4 Nature Reserves on the ‘Great Doward’ are owned by Hereford Nature Trust. All this is within half a mile of the cottage.
