General Information

Adamton House is an historic state estate dating back to the 11th century, and features accommodated some enchanting dwellers from Bonnie Prince Charlie's kids to reputedly the esteemed Elvis Presley and Clark Gable (during the war). Resting within 19. five acres of lonely grounds, Adamton House Hotel reopened its doors early December '09. Accessed along a tranquil state lane, Adamton is less than two miles from Glasgow Prestwick airport and 35 miles from Glasgow International airport. Adamton House proposes varied styles of lodging to suit all budgets and with complimentary parking for visitors which makes the guesthouse a fine choice for a pre post vacation stop. Car park is FREE when staying at least one night with us. Independent Wi-Fi access is obtainable social area's in the major cottage. All suites are en-suite and able to comprise complimentary toiletries and TeaCoffee making amenities (Budget bunks are supplied with hand towels only). All our rates are prestigious of breakfast, but is obtainable to add on after reservation or at check in.

Transportation

By Road: From Glasgow and the North: Via M77A77 Follow the signs for Prestwick Airport. Take the 2nd turning off the dutch cottage roundabout signposted Monkton. Follow the highway down bearing to the left (Baird Road). Continue past HMS Gannet and under the highway bridge. Adamton House is on the left. Approx 6 mins from roundabout. From Edinburgh: Take the M8 and M77A77, following the route above or travel through the A71 and follow the directions below. From the South: Take the M74 then A71 to Kilmarnock. You'll connect onto the M77 and follow the signs for Prestwick Airport and Ayr. En route you'll find a sign for Monkton. Follow the highway bearing to the left (Baird Road). Continue past HMS Gannet and under the highway bridge. Adamton House is on the left. By Bus: Buses to Glasgow and the local cities run regularly from Prestwick Airport just under two miles away. By Rail: The closest train station is Prestwick Airport just under two miles away and about five mins by Taxi. Trains run each half-an-hour to Glasgow Central Station throughout the day and evening and the trip takes about 45 mins. By Air: Prestwick Airport is directly under 2 miles away and about five min drive. Glasgow Airport is around 45 min drive from Adamton House. Alternatively shuttle buses run from outside the airport terminal throughout the day, connecting to Paisley Gilmour Street Railway station. The train trip takes about fourty minutes to Prestwick Airport station.
