General Information

Monastery Lodge Guest House is the vast Victorian city cottage home of Linda and Mike Forbes, located in the centre of Southsea. We will be happy to invite you into our home. Once you're here, you can have a rest and enjoy everything we and the locality have to propose. Cloister Lodge is exactly a 10 minute amble from the coast and within a short distance of the Historic Dockyard, Heritage Museums, Portsmouth University campus, Gunwarf Quays fun and shopping complex, Spinnaker Tower, Kings Theatre and Wedgewood suites. Ferries to France, Spain and the Isle of Wight are surrounding. Lodging is supplied in nine well furnished suites, where a comfortable and friendly ambiance is combined with personal attention. A prime, home-cooked, conventional English breakfast is cooked to order for you and vegetarian diets are served for. We have self-sufficient cordless Internet access for your laptop or iPhone and self-sufficient UK fax service. Cyclists are welcome and we are glad to store bikes overnight and keep your luggage secure should you wish to check in early or leave late (but by peculiar arrangement). We are lucky to be in one of the few regions in Portsmouth without a residents’ car park scheme, so local on-street car parking is plentiful and self-sufficient.
