General Information

Embedded in the majestic Tummel Valley, part of the opulent Scottish Highlands, Pitlochry is an unspoiled gem of the Victorian era. Our cottage is one of the best of the a lot of Victorian Villas erected in that era and peaceful contains much of its period fascination. In 1875 Carra Beag was constructed as a family cottage. Over the years a lot of local notables have resided at the cottage including a Town Provost and local artist David Fergusson. These days Carra Beag restful is a family home where Helen and Brian welcome customers and tourists. We are proud of ourselves in offering clients admirable value, bright and homely suites, 1st rate amenities in a fully non smoking vicinage. We are situated un the centre and enjoy a commanding situation just above the central street of the city, far enough away however not to suffer from any annoying transportation hubbub. Visitors are able to unwind in the sun on one of our south overlooking gardens, appreciate the uninterrupted glorious views or walk though our award winning park directly onto the cities principal street. We have a secure safe private parking zone for motorists, and able to organize pick ups for those hiking by mass transport.

Transportation

From the South, Leave the A9 and head towards Pitlochry Town Centre. Before entering the city Centre you'll pass the Tourist Information Office on your right hand side. Look up to your right and you'll clearly see the Guest House set back from the major Street. Take the following turning on your right ( Bonnethill Road ) then the 1st right ( Toberaragan Road ). The visitor House is 100 mtrs up on the right. From the NorthLeave the A9 and proceede through Pitlochry Town Centre. You'll pass ' Fihers Hotel ' on your right. Take the following tirning on your left ( Bonnethill Road )and continue as described above. The Railway station is ten mins stroll. The major bus stop is five mins stroll.
