The Stilton Cheese Inn is a conventional, popular social cottage with a well patronised restaurant and homely, up-to-date accommodation. The Stilton Cheese proposes six en-suite bedrooms in our converted barns, all at first floor level. One is good for a disabled person. All the suites have king size beds, flat screen Free vista TV, self-sufficient cordless broadband, mini-bar, facilities of making tea/coffee, complimentary toiletries a hairdryer and a little secure. Breakfast is obtainable from seven. 00am with an option of cereals, fresh fruit, toast with a choice of preserves and cooked breakfast with tea, savoury coffee and fruit juice Prior to 1926 it was called The George and records date back to the early sixteenth century. The up-to-date building was built approximately 1800 and is a listed building. There are 2 bars providing a selection of draught and bottled lagers, authentic beer (e.g. Timothy Taylor Landlord, Jennings Cumberland), a choice of excellent Malt Whiskies, brandies and other spirits, and a broad wine catalogue. The restaurant seats approximately 50 and is spread over 4 interconnecting apartments which contributes towards the amicable, friendly atmosphere. There is an ample a-la-carte dishes and a Specials board revised daily which lists a big range of fresh fish menu and other specials (e.g. homemade pies and casseroles). On Sundays there are the conventional roasts sirloin of beef, leg of lamb, loin of pork. Fresh fish is delivered daily by Direct Seafoods and M&J Seafoods. Carlos also periodically buys at Billingsgate fish market place. All meat products are sourced locally by R&P Meats. Fruit and vegetables are from local suppliers. Stilton is approximately five miles south of Peterborough and is signposted at blend 16 (Norman Cross) on the A1(M).
