Situated in Chapel Street in a Grade II listed manor house, once the Portuguese Consulate, the Penzance Arts Club is a Members Bar, Gallery, Dining Room and B&B in addition to offering visitor suites to visiting non-Members. The Club is at the centre of West Cornwall's beautiful arts and music scene. With its brasserie, living room, breakfast room, art gallery, 7 bedrooms (6 double, 1 single), big garden and balcony balcony, the Club is an authoritative landmark within one of Cornwall’s most creative areas; Penzance’s Georgian area. Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange, Stoneman Graphics and Cornwall Contemporary are all closeby in and around Chapel Street whilst Tate St Ives & Morvah Gallery among others are also easily reachible. The Club’s Palladian-esque architecture shrouds an inside which is currently undergoing an organic and sympathetic renovation. Soft Georgian grey and neutral color schemes, vintage chandeliers and mirrors, French ancient bed frames and a quirky blend of conventional Cornish and British Pop Art all see a home in this clubby, shabby-chic surroundings.
