The Old Black Horse is a 17th Century Coaching Inn situated 5 min from the very heart of Oxford at the end of the High Street. The historic buildings of the town and uni are surrounding and Magdalen College with its attractive deer garden is directly across the river. We provide exceptional bed & breakfast lodging with a variety of single, twin, double and family apartments. All our nice bedrooms are en-suite and are equiped with Internet access points (both wired and wireless), remote control tv, straight dial phone and facilities of making tea/coffee. Whether you're contemplating a longer visit we advise staying in one of our Home-from-home Suites that offer all the amenities of home whilst you’re away from home. The Old Black Horse is situated in the center, simple to find and simple to get to by social or privately-owned conveyance. London and Airport Coaches stop outside and we have a spacious safe car parking. Back in the 17th Century, plenty of of our dear guests required stables and lodging for their servants. To comply with their requirements, beyond the Inn, a capacious yard was built with appropriate outbuildings. Today, with far fewer tourists arriving by carriage or on horseback we have converted these outbuildings into marvellous, self-contained rooms.
