Welcome to Upcott House, a nice Edwardian building, primarily built in 1870 as a gentleman’s privately-owned cottage. Located in its own large grounds, the cottage looks out across Okement Valley to Dartmoor. All the suites in this lovely period cottage are exquisitely provided to a greatly high standard. Upcott House provides a quiet and familiar atmosphere for complete family to enjoy. We are perfectly positioned for cyclists, being on the Tarka trail, Route 27 (Ilfracombe to Plymouth), plus plenty of other marvelous local routes around Dartmoor. We even give washing machines and tumble driers for the less wonderful cycling or strolling days. We are conveniently situated within 20 min drive of Exeter, with its boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Exeter airport with its routes to Canada and Europe is only twenty mins away. The Eden Project is fourty minutes, Bude 35 mins and the historic fascination of Plymouth is only an hour away. Or whether you just fancy a visit to the local pub, it's a 10 minute stroll to Okehampton center. There is a visitor hall with digital TV, safe storage for cycles and roomy self-sufficient car parking. Located right in the centre of Devon, Upcott cottage proposes the ideal location for that pleasantholiday visit.
