Built in 1705AD the Sun Inn is a Grade II listed building. It's associated with the heritage of its local city Eastwood, from the distinguished conferences in 1832 that saw the birth of the Midland Railway or with that of our locally famous author D. H Lawrence, it's included in his celebrated novel Sons and Lovers and a lot of of the has that are mentioned are tranquil in site today enhancing the culture of the Sun Inn and its tranquil location. The Sun Inn is located in the centre of Eastwood, with straight links to the M1- J26 and within short distance of the facilities of our local city Eastwood. We are perfectly located as a base to travel to Matlock and the Derbyshire Dales with close links to Nottingham; including the Castle, the Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem AD1179, the Bell Inn 1437AD our well-known Historic Pubs' with prime links to Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak. Nottingham's nightlife is vibrant with first-class Theatres, Concert Halls and our National Ice stadium; where you are able to have dinner out in its fantastic restaurants and pubs, this is a must stay town while you are staying.
