Ard-na-coille is a five Star Guest House embedded in three acres of attractive, privately-owned, elevated and unspoiled village in the center of the Cairngorm National Park. Built in about 1920 for Sir John and Lady Cargill, Ard-na-Coille is an attractive former Hunting Lodge which holds plenty of of its original has including a pleasing original sandstone hearth. Ard-na-coille featured in the "Monarch of the Glen" BBC TV program as "Glenbogle Golf Club" and a lot of of the cast stayed here during filming. We are about one hour from Inverness Airport and about 20 mins from Aviemore. Newtonmore is a pleasant base to discover the Highlands and Islands of Scotland!
