General Information

Porthcove is an entertaining and relaxing hotel embedded in an enviable situation high on the cliffs facing the Atlantic Ocean, commanding unobstructed vistas over Porth, Newquay whirlpool, and the nearby coastline. Directly opposite are the golden sands of Whipsiderry Beach with access to the prize winning Porth coast and Watergate Bay too. On the eastern side of Porth Beach is Porth Island, the property of an Iron-age settlement which is joined to the continental by a footbridge, beneath it there are caves which able to be exposed at low tide it is said they were once used by smugglers. Our lodging is made up of sixteen suites, all adjacent, with an option of single, double, twin and family apartments accessible, plenty of with pretty sea panorama. All suites are elegantly embellished every with color TV, radio alarm, hair dryer and teacoffee making service. We provide a variety beers, wines and spirits to be delighted either in the brasserie, on the verandah whilst watching the thrilling sunsets, or just whilst relaxing in our hall admiring the vistas. Our huge private parking zone provides big parking for all our dear guests. For visitors arriving by other means the coach and railroad stations are only 1 and a half miles away, Newquay airport is around 6 miles and the bus routes pass within 30 m of the guesthouse each 20 mins.
