Welcome to the Compton Swan We are Penelope and Jean-Marc. We opened our excellent Pub and Restaurant two years ago and give a female welcoming relaxing environs, with quality bedrooms, an extensive variety of healthy juices from upper English producers, an excellent selection of wines and some refined food for breakfast and dinner. We have got businesses in mind and this is reflected in our champagne suite with Wifi, plasma screen, cafeteria snacks or embodied menus. At the Compton Swan, food is key, seasonality of our carte menu is a priority, we take each occasion to use the products in season, easy flavours to enhance the product, fresh herbs and influences from all over the world, France certainly but further Vietnam and Thailand for the magical of their salads and spices, Israel for the Mediterranean culture and their subtle use of spices and vegetables. Our specialty is Fish ... from seafood to Tuna with the refined Seabass and the mighty Turbot, we chef them simply respecting their texture, we put all our efforts into the sauces and the vegetables that will garnish the dish and bring all the tastes together. We are perfectly situated on the A34 with free access to Oxford, Reading and Newbury, and only 6 miles away from Bucklebury the Birth site of Kate Middleton.

Transportation

Hiking South on the A34 from Didcot - pass the Chilton round approximately then take the following exit signaled east Ilsley - Compton, follow the highway to a T fusion (you will see two pubs the crown and horns and the swan) take left then left again following the signs for Compton. follow the highway for two miles and enter Compton. we are located at the midst of the countryside directly opposite to the shoppost officeTravelling North on the A34 from Newbury - carry on on the A34 after passing the Chieveley facilities round approximately for three miles then take the exit signaled east ilsley - compton follow the highway round into east ilsley, (you will pass the swan pub, then the crown and horns pub) after passing the crown and horns take the 1st left signed posted Compton. follow the highway for two miles and enter Compton. we are located at the midst of the countryside directly opposite to the shoppost office.
