General Information
The Duke of Wellington was constructed in the 17th-century as a conventional training inn and posting cottage. The guesthouse is comfortably located in the very heart of Minehead. Minehead is an energetic seaside resort city with park amusements to suit an immense variety of persons. It's home to West Somerset Steam railway which runs a few steam trains throughout the day over the summer months period. Minehead is also famously home to the family entertainment garden Butlins for which any of our dear guests could stay upon purchasing a day pass. Minehead is located on the north beach of Somerset bragging some amazing sea panorama. It's also known as The Gateway to Exmoor as it's nestled in the very heart of Exmoor National Park. The Duke of Wellington is made up of a conventional Wetherspoon pub, a Lloyds No. 1 brasserie and a Wetherlodge. We provide a spacious carte menu catered between 7am - 10pm. The Lloyds No. 1 music venue is on the side of the guesthouse and is open till 2am on a Friday and Saturday. Some apartments may experience some din from Lloyds. Whether you would prefer a quieter apartment please advise upon making your reservation.
Transportation
Approaching from the M5: Leave the M5 at blend 23. Head East on the A39 for about 20 miles. Upon entering Minehead follow all of the signs toward the city center. The Duke of Wellington is located on Wellington Square in the very heart of Minehead.
