General Information

.Black Combe House is located in a little countryside overlooking the countryside green. There are 8 homely suites, all en-suite with state vistas. There is a state pub surrounding serving fine food all home ready using local make. We also use all local make and cater liberal breakfasts. We constantly have vegetarian choices and try to provide you with exactly what you like. On arrival we will invite you with tea/coffee and home made cake in our guests' hall so that you are able to lounge afater your trip. All our apartments have flat screen TVs with Freeview and DVD players, cordiality trays, hairdryers and free use of Wi-fi and we have books, maps and booklets to assist you maximise your time here. This locality is less busy than the Central Lakes but is equally imposing and should you wish to venture there it doesn't take too long. The peculiar sights of the Western Lakes are Muncaster Castle, the Ravenglass- Eskdale Railway, the Soulh Lakes Zoo, Wastwater and Eskdale, the Duddon Valley and the western cities of Whitehaven and Maryport,etc, all of which able to be reached by a train ride along the beach. Whether you like sports you are able to hole golf at the waterside Silecroft Golf Club just five minutes away, or travel a short distance up the beach to Eskdale Golf Club which is embedded in a certainly gorgeous dale. You may even like to stroll up surrounding Black Combe - whatever you like, the Lake District is sure to give.
