General Information

Embedded in the historic city of Midhurst, close to the South Downs, the inn features a close association with Cowdray Park Polo and Goodwood Racecourse, Motor Circuit and Aerodrome. The Spread Eagle and Spa proposes morning coffee or afternoon tea; overnight lodging in one of its 35 individually-decorated bedrooms, some with four-poster beds, all with high quality internet access; snack and banquet in the candle-lit Restaurant or something lighter from our seasonal menus catered in the historic Lounge Bar, with it is roaring fires, Conservatory or Terrace, in addition to relaxing Spa Day or a charm treatment in the Aquila Spa. Of The Spread Eagle's six function apartments, the Jacobean Hall is the biggest, accommodating up to 90 visitors for a wedding breakfast or privately-owned dinner or up to 40 delegates for conferencing in fashion! The Polo Room, with its high-vaulted ceiling and air conditioning, is a ideal environs for seminars and is licenced for civil ceremonies for up to 80 visitors. The Aquila Spa proposes an inner swimming pool, sauna, steam apartment, hot tub, fully furnished gymnasium and 3 treatment suites, using the Elemis product collection.

Transportation

From M25 take the A3 South towards Guildford and Portsmouth. Exit the A3 at Milford and take the A286 to Midhurst. From Midhurst High Street, turn left after the 2nd set of traffic lights into Knockhundred Row and follow the highway up for approx 250m. The Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa is situated on the right hand side of the highway by the Market Square in the Old Town. Trainsfrom Waterloo Station to Haslemere takes around 50 mins with a further 15 minute cab ride to the inn.
