Following on from a full apartments renovation, the Grouse and Claret reopened in Spring 2008 as a Marston's Inn. The pub itself is a pleasing 18th century building and proposes 8 en-suite suites within the structure, catered to a high standard and offering tea/coffee making service, flatscreen TV's, sumptuous bedding and free wireless internet in the suites. Our elegant breakfast is constantly complimentary to our dear guests and consists of a variety of cooked choices in addition to a mainland propose. The Grouse and Claret is situated at the gateway to the Peak District National Park on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell. The tranquil location makes it a lovely base for travellers investigating the area and is also a good base for people travelling on business, being within a short distance of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby and Manchester are with easy reach from the Grouse and Claret. The center and soul of the inn remains the pub itself and you are able to be sure to find something to tempt you from our big carte menu which is obtainable all day.
