The conventional stone-built Inn, on the edge of the Peak District, dates from Bollington’s origins as a cotton mill countryside. It proposes a sincere welcome for work or leisure, corporate or personal, to drinkers & eaters who enjoy ‘olde worlde’ open fires with crackling logs & good conversation in a homey bar. For work or leisure our cosy bed and breakfast lodging proposes 5 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin & three singles) for a single night or a longer-term visit. There’s a little parking & every room is equipped with over-the-air Internet connection, TV, clock radio, hairdryer, tea & facilities of making coffee & by demand, an iron & ironing board. The Church House features been well-known due to its quality food & genuine ales for a few years, having been presented a few Egon Ronay awards & appearing in the nice food guide of Great Britain and in addition appearing the in CAMRA authentic beer guide. There’s a magnificent choice of beers including lagers, stouts & conventional genuine ales or a generous wine catalogue, a good selection of malt whiskies & other spirits and liqueurs. Something for each taste and everything stored and maintained in ideal condition. The countryside is embedded in outstanding strolling state, on the path of the imposing 35-mile Gritstone Trail as it weaves through spectacular views through Tegg's Nose Country Park close to Macclesfield & on to the Staffordshire border. The Peak District provides many more sights including Chatsworth House, the thermal city of Buxton with its well-known Opera House, Lyme Park at Disley - scene of Colin Firth’s prominent soak in the TV production of “Pride & Prejudice” - The Trafford Centre – one of the UK’s biggest shopping centres, Jodrell Bank Space Observatory, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Manchester downtown & historic Chester. The Church House is well located for all main motorway networks and ony 25 minutes from Manchester airport.
