Countisbury Lodge is a recently refurbished holiday hotel, with dramatic vistas high above Lynmouth, but only a short meander to the facilities. Lynmouth is an unspoiled countryside located on the north beach of Devon, within the Exmoor National Park noted for it is genuine beauty and unspoiled scenery. This is the ideal place to go up onto the moor and catch glimpses of the scarlet deer and the wild Exmoor ponies, and investigate Devon and north Somerset. The Victorians named the region "Little Switzerland" which is a superior description. Lynmouth and Lynton are linked by the incomparable water powered rock railway, another spot to enjoy the gorgeous views. Leaving the boutiques, tearooms and cafes of Lynton beyond, you'll find the Valley of Rocks, home of buzzards and the wild but docile goats. There is a prime selection of eating places in both countrysides, and the locality.
