This most conveniently situated 18 bedroom family hotel was constructed in the eighteenth century by John Evans and named after the Duke of Gloucester. William Pitt and plenty of other outstanding dwellers have stayed at 23 Gloucester Place. The inn features been consistently and cautiously upgraded to maintain its historical interest whilst providing up-to-date day comforts. Personally designed apartments have en-suite amenities, straight dial phones with modem attachment, cordiality trays etc. Some apartments have four Poster Beds whilst others are commodious four Bedded Rooms. One Room features been divided into 2, to establish a self contained room perfect for a family with older kids. Further to the guesthouse features a suitable and beautifully appointed breakfast room, where an option of English and nutritious breakfas is catered. Transportation

The 2 nearest Underground stations are Marble Arch and Baker Street. From Marble Arch: Walk along Oxford Street (away from Hyde Park), then left into Portman Street. Continue up the highway until it becomes Gloucester Place. We are No. 23 on your left after NCP. From Baker Street: stroll down Baker Street towards Oxford Street, turn right into George Street and then right again into Gloucester Place (next street). We are No 23 on your left. Note for drivers: the nearest highways to us are A 40 (Marylebone Rd) turn right on to Baker St, right again on George St and right on to Gloucester Place. On M4 drive up to Hyde Park round approximately, north on to Park Lane to Marble Arch, go along Oxford St, second left on to Portman Street which becomes Gloucester Place. You are able to garden opposite the hotel on the meter for a short time and there is a National Car Park just fifty yards before the guesthouse. You will see it on your left just before you reach the inn. Gloucester Place is a one-way boulevard.
