General Information

The Lochgair Hotel is a family run hotel which is located on the major trunk route to the Kintyre peninsula with all its spectacular landscape amid the highlands of Argyll. This treveller route also leads to Tarbert and the Islay Ferry. Islay is the mainstay of whisky distilleries, so famous data for those who appreciate whisky, and our specialist whisky brasserie holds a range of Islay whisky for leisure of sampling! We have a entire of 14 apartments made up of ten adjacent including a family suite, and four non-ensuite which are in the process of being upgraded. All rooms in the hotel have cordiality tray for Tea/Coffee, Hair dryers, Toiletries, Flat screen TV with Freesat and DVD, alarm clocks and main heating. We are in the countryside of Lochgair which is 17 miles from Inveraray, 8 miles from Lochgilphead and approx two minutes wander to Loch Fyne shore. Loch Glashan Forestry Commission strolls and cycle paths are ¼ mile from the guesthouse. Ardcastle Forestry Commission strolls and cycle paths are 1 ½ miles from the inn. There are further splendid strolls three miles from the guesthouse at Port Ann. Immediately beyond the guesthouse is a strolling route which when at the upper provides splendid vistas of Loch Fyne. Lochgair is on route to plenty of ‘Historical Scotland’ sights. One sample is Kilmartin Glen, which brags Neolithic standing stone circles and burial cairns.
