Constructed as a Gentleman's Residence in 1850 on the premises of the historic 13th century Cistercian Monastery, the guesthouse is located within idyllic grounds with the foothills of the Snowdonia collection offering a dramatic backdrop. As shortly as you stroll into our entry lounge with its splendorous galleried Victorian staircase and blazing winter log fire, you'll immediately feel at home. Maenan Abbey Hotel features newly undergone a firstrate deal of renewal. The restaurant, foyer and hall have all been elegantly renowated to a highly high standard together with 6 of our nice bedrooms in a fashion sympathetic to the period of the structure. While maintaining its historic traditions, Maenan Abbey proposes all contemporary hotel amenities. All fourteen bedrooms are en room and propose a flexible blend of single, doubles, twins, a 4 placard bridal apartment and three family apartments. Here at the Abbey we are proud of ourselves on our cooking which provides a special fusion of conventional Welsh fair alongside more modern classical dishes. We use only the best products that are locally produced wherever possible and cooked to the most high standard. Our neighborly brasserie is open to the social and attracts plenty of locals and regulars in addition to those clients staying with us, while our dainty dwellers hall is the ideal site to enjoy a tranquil coffee after dinner. We can offer service for a range of functions; we hold a Civil Ceremony Licence for Weddings, we can provide for privately-owned parties of various sizes, meeting facilities are also accessible.
