It's a beautiful base from which to stay England's finest known National Parks, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. (GW 03/2009) The guesthouse is steeped in heritage having initially been constructed as an orphanage for young girls in the 1850's. It's conventional in design and made from locally quarried stone. Located in the scenic ancient market place city of Kendal in the south of the Lake District. Beautiful access from the M6 with the guesthouse being only ten minutes drive from Junction 36.

Dining Information

Catherine's Restaurant is named after Henry VIII's 6th wife Catherine Parr (Kendall was once home to her) and is situated to the left of the major Lobby. It's open for lunch, snack and dinner. One of the best of local ingredients are used to design magnificent cuisine complimented by a superior wine catalogue. The Westmorland Gazette Bar - aptly named after the areas local papaer - proudly displays photgraphs of the districts heritage and is a wonderful venue for an idle drink after a busy day.
