General Information
Welcome to the oldest continually-licensed hotel in Scotland. With parts of the structure dating from the time of Mary Queen of Scots, we provide large en-suite bedrooms, a cozy hall with wood-burning stove, and a sun-trap ale park to the back of the structure. We invite families, and have 2 cots in addition to a kids' carte menu. Kids under five visit self-sufficient. All our apartments were absolutely refurbished in year 2006 and we now have digital TV and WiFi throughout. Hole golf is obtainable on 23 local courses as part of the Freedom of the Fairways scheme, and there is also wonderful strolling, cycling, fishing, horse-riding and other state pursuits in the superb landscape of the Borders.
Transportation
The Spread Eagle Hotel is a cream-coloured building in the midst of the High Street in Jedburgh. The city is bypassed by the A68 which runs from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the south to the Edinburgh town bypass in the north. Turn off the A68 onto Exchange Street (the 2nd combination leading into the city center from either direction). Turn directly at the blend with High Street, and you'll find the inn approximately 25 yards down the highway on your left.
