General Information

Magnificently located within Northumberland's National Park, Saughy Rigg is within sight (less than 1 mile) of Hadrian's Wall. Delightful strolls begin at our doorstep. Lapwings, Curlew and Skylarks are an accepted sight in the summer. There is a restful sitting-room for visitor use and every room is equipped with its own TV and tea/coffee-making amenities. The lodging is warm and cosy and visitors are able to unwind in the pacific ambiance. We have had so plenty of compliments approximately our meals it would be difficult to list them all. Breakfasts are highly liberal, and cooked recently to order (vegetarians or specific diets are no problem). We now have a desk licence and keep a little selection of wine, ale and lager. Suppers are three courses and we take pride in presenting wholesome freshly-cooked food using local organic fresh make (we have our own chickens and grow most of our own vegetables). Walkers and cyclists able to profit from our luggage-forwarding amenities and we able to pick up customers from local social conveyance. We are keen walkers ourselves and feel can understand the requirements of our dear guests.
