General Information

This former training cottage is filled with character and proposes an entertaining and easy stay. Within short distance of all butiques and facilities in Haltwhistle itself (including an open-air swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis courts, bowling green and fishing in the surrounding River Tyne). Central for conveyance links, with bus stops directly outside offering regular services to Carlisle, Hexham and Newcastle. The train station is within 10 minute stroll, again with regular commutes between Carlisle and Newcastle. By auto, we are just off the A69 major route from both East (Approx 35miles from A1 Newcastle) and West (Approx 25miles from M6 Carlisle). If you are a walker, cyclist, golfer or truly anyone visiting the many sights this district can offer, The Manor House Inn indeed is a matchless base from which to discover the area and specially Hadrians Wall Country. We have 6 serene and homely adjacent apartments, three of which are conventional to the aspect of the original building and the other three have just undergone a the whole renewal to a extremely high standard in November 2010, to a more contemporary day design. All rooms in the hotel have facilities of making tea/coffee, Flat screen Colour TVs, Iron and hairdryer service upon demand. On the 1st floor we have the social brasserie, hall and restaurant district. The Bar serves a wide range of wine, beers, cask ales and spirits, also tea and wide range of coffees to both dwellers and passing social. Please Note that this district able to be beautiful at times, specifically at holidays. The Lounge region seats approx. 30 people and serves a varied carte menu varying from brasserie lunches to major meals, including our rather popular home-made Sunday Lunches. The restaurant seats approx 36 persons and is used as the breakfast region for our dwellers and for suppers whether a quieter ambiance is preferred. Check In is from 12 Noon to 21: 00 & Check Out is by 11:00. Safe lock ups. We are a no smoking lodging. Regrettably we cannot accept pets. Kids welcome.
