General Information

One of the friendliest, Guernsey Hotels. A charming family hotel in Guernsey, facing the scenic sandy Grandes Rocques Bay. A spacious car parking is obtainable and buses stop surrounding. The Wayside Cheer Hotel is one of only a handful of Guernsey hotels close to the coast, many parking zone for our dear guests including unique reserved handicapped car park. The guesthouse features a heated open-air swimming pool located in the beautiful terraces. In addition to our Restaurant where dwellers able to enjoy breakfast & suppers, brasserie meals are catered daily in the olde world hall brasserie. There is also a toys suite with a range of brasserie toys. Other facilities comprise a comprehensive TV hall for dwellers only. All bedrooms are en-suite with colour television and facilities of making tea/coffee. First floor apartments are also accessible. The cabaret suite brags one of the best dance floors on the island and at least three nights a month, amusement is obtainable all year round.

As well as our restaurant we have a magnificent brasserie meal carte menu, serving food for every person, we also have our daily specials of local fish and other seasonal dishes.

Transportation

Arrival by air:- Turn right out of the airport and follow the major highway till you get to the West beach at L'Eree, a distance of about three miles. Turn right and follow the beach highway for five miles, till you get to Grandes Rocques. The guesthouse visible from the major beach highway, but you need to just pass it and turn right by the Cobo Butchers boutique, the inn is 50yds up that highway on the right. Arrival by sea: Upon departure from the haven terminal, you'll shortly get to a main roundabout. Take the second exit up the hill. Continue on this major highway till you get to a main combination at the upper of the hill. After the traffic lights, there is a filter in turn which you need to bear right at. Continue on the highway - after the third set of traffic lights, you'll go up a 100m stretch of dual carriageway - turn directly at the end of this then left at the yellow line. This will take you to the beach highway. Turn directly at the filter in turn on the beach highway, follow the beach highway for 34 of a miles, till you get to Grandes Rocques. The guesthouse visible from the major beach highway, but you need to just pass it and turn right by the Cobo Butchers boutique, the inn is 50yds up that highway on the right.
