General Information

The Inn on the Lake is a privy owned contemporary seventy-eight bedroomed hotel with a famous restaurant and 1st class conference and festive facilities. It's rated 4 crown by the English Tourist Board. The inn features straight access from the A2 London to Dover highway but is set back in twelve acres of tranquil woods with 2 prime lakes. It's within one hour's drive of the Channel Tunnel and Ferry Ports and Central London, and only 10 minutes from both the City of Rochester upon Medway and the Dartford Tunnel link with Essex and the M25 motorway around London. There is parking zone for over 250 autos. The Inn on the Lake is set at the foot of the centre of Medway and Maritime Kent with sights including Historic Rochester with it is Castle, Cathedral and Dickens Museum. Other sites of interest in Medway comprise the World Naval Base, Fort Amhurst and the Royal Engineers Museum. Other sights comprise Bluewater Shopping Centre, Leeds Castle and Canterbury. Each Saturday all year round a dinner dance is featured in the Lakeside Restaurant. Stars such as The Supremes, The Searchers, Ben E King and Boney M have freshly performed here. Transportation

The guesthouse is located on the A2 midway between Rochester and Dartford, just past Gravesend. From the M25: Exit Junction two, take the A2 towards Canterbury. We are 8 miles from this point, about two miles past the Gravesend (A227) exit. The exit is signposted 'Thong, Chalk and Inn on the Lake' (it is two hundred meters past the Little ChefEsso Garage). We are then immediately in facade of you. From Dover and M2: As you cross the River Medway and approach the steep hill, take the 2nd exit signposted Cobham Shorne. Follow this highway till you get to a Roundabout. Take the 3rd exit which is signposted Hotel.. This highway will lead you to the bridge over the A2, then turn right and we are direct ahead.
