The Gold Rill Hotel Grasmere

General Information

Located in a tranquil corner of Grasmere facing the lake and encircled by magnificent fells. Only 2 mins amble from the countryside heart. The inn stands in one acre of beatifully tendered terraces which brag an open-air swimming pool and putting green. There is also a confidential pier on the lake shore. The inn features 2 prominent visitor lounges which are commodious and light and have glorious views of the nearby fells. On chilly days there is a roaring log fire and a choice of board toys or magazines to unbend with. The Gold Rill's situation in the Lake District makes it the perfect place from which to discover the plurality exciting landscape and charming park amusements on the door step. Build up your energy for an afternoon's fell strolling on Fairfields Horseshoe - one of Wainwrights classic strolls which able to be seen from the inn with a bracing drink and a delicious brasserie snack. On summer months in the evenings you are able to admire the vistas of the lake and fells as you have dinner enjoying award winning food from conventional to to the more uncommon designed using one of the best local make. Dinner able to be taken at the guesthouse for an addittional charge of £15 for a person.

Transportation

The guesthouse is easily accessable by highway or rail, the nearest station being at Windermere. Taxis are gettable from the station and the trip to The Gold Rill Hotel takes around 20 mins. Coming by auto from the south, turn off the M6 moterway at combination 36 and follow the A591 through Windermere and onto Grasmere. Turn left into Red Bank Road which is opposite St Oswalds church. The Gold Rill Hotel is a small way down this highway on the left. From the north, turn off the M6 motorway at combination 40 and take the A66 towards Keswick, turning left at the sign for Windermere and Thirmere and onto Grasmere. Turn right into the countryside and follow the highway for about 12 mile till you arrive to St Oswalds church as before.
