General Information

The Wind in the Willows is an enchanting early-Victorian grange, which features retained its original charms, including oak panelled suites, conventional furniture and accessories, and open log fires. The inn is located within 5 acres of land amid unspoiled vistas of the Peak District National Park, and is encircled by the heather clad mountains of the Pennines. The setting provides an retreat from the pressures of up-to-date day life into the ambiance and refined outskirts of a bygone era. There are plenty of varied strolls on the doorstep and a 9 golf course in front of the hotel. Local sights comprise, Chatsworth House, Castleton Caves and Caverns, Holmfirth the Last of the Summer Wine state, The Lowry Gallery in Manchester, with Manchester International Airport 14 miles away. All apartments are personally designed, with no 2 alike, most are double with queen-sized beds, and others are twin bedded. This hotel features gained a good name for 1st class home cooking, catered in the wonderful outskirts of the fascinating period breakfast room. In order to maintain the tranquillity and calm, for which we have become outstanding, we do not have a restaurant open to the general social, instead we cater a 3 course dinner to dwellers and their invited customers between seven: 00 and 8:00. Wifi is obtainable in the whole hotel and there is parking zone for visitors. We are unable to accommodate kids under ten years of age.
