The Hawthorns is situated within 100 yards from the High Street in Glastonbury, within short distance of the Glastonbury Tor, Chalice Wells and 2 mins from Glastonbury Abbey. The Hawthorns offers suitable en-suite Accommodation, a Bar and a Restaurant providing a selection of local, vegetarian and ethnic dishes. The major entry leads into the brasserie, a locality formed by the enclosed converted stable block. The brasserie is a captivating site to unbend, meet friends and eat from our lunchtime brasserie carte menu, which holds some of the best food in Somerset. Attainable from the brasserie is a choice of beers, wines and spirits, there are a few couches to unbend on, an inviting hearth to warm you in the winter and hospitable personnel to greet you and produce you feel at home. Restaurant; The restaurant is in the eighteenth centaury part of the cottage and serves an eclectic mixture of West Country and Ethnic dishes from around the World including a variety of Vegetarian dishes. At the Hawthorns we are proud of ourselves on the authenticity of our menu and use fresh local make where possible. This restaurant can offer a big variety of ethnic dishes, curries being the speciality. (Your landlord, Simon, features won plenty of awards for his curries! ) Thursday night is our "Curry Club" night where we provide a choice of 5 dishes, 2 meat, 2 vegetarian, and a fish dish from a particular curry area, all catered with, popadoms, rice and naan. On sunday lunchtime we provide a conventional Sunday Roast, with Rib of Beef or loin of pork, with all the trimmings. We have a confidential patio ale park leading out from the restaurant which is fine place to enjoy or drink or some snack on a summer's day. There is limited private car park at the back of the inn (we share this space with our neighbours) when full there is the avenue. John's car parking only 50 yards away.
