Welcome to the Harvest Guest House which features an enviable situation on Edinburgh's coast at Portobello. Portobello is only a bus ride from the center of the city! Each ten minutes from early morning through till approximately 23. 30 (night buses continue the service). Trip time 15 mins depending on traffic. We are an established holiday hotel with a loyal following enjoying much repeat work. The House itself is an early Victorian city cottage located right on the boardwalk in Portobello, a pleasing and characteristic area of Edinburgh. A few of our visitor suites have lovely views of the Firth of Forth and all of the rooms have wash hand basins, color TVs and teacoffee making amenities. Directions to Edinburgh East: By Car: From Edinburgh City Centre: Follow A1 to London Road, Portobello Road, Portobello High Street, after Portobello Town Hall turn left onto Bath Street, before reaching the sea turn right onto Straiton Place, we are no 33. From Outside of Edinburgh;When you approach Edinburgh by auto you should follow the town bypass A720 South and then East, go on to the A1 and follow the highway signs to Portobello (turn into Bellfield Street from Portobello High Street). Straiton spot is at the very foot of Bellfield Street and near Portobello Swimming Pool). By Bus: From Princes Street (outside Jenners Marks and Spencers) take bus number 26, 15 or 129 to Portobello after approximately 20 minutes you'll be on Portobello High Street and ask the driver to let you off two stops after Portobello Town Hall at St Andrew Restaurants.
