A 16th Century Country Inn located on the A264 between East Grinstead & Tunbridge Wells, with ten en-suite suites, all are non-smoking & have lcd tv/dvd combi & facilities of making tea/coffee in every suite. With great vistas of Ashdown Forest & The South Downs, this is an amiable place for a weekend or mid-week break, golfing journey (Holtye Golf Club is exactly next door) & is featured in fantasy hole golf, Sweetwood Park Golf Club is oposite, we are only 6 miles from Tunbridge Wells, four Miles from East Grinstead, Gatwick Airport is just twenty mins away, & Cowden railway station (approx 1 mile) features a regular quick train to London (approx 30 minutes).. Formerly a courting venue of Henry VIII and Ann Boleyn. The Inn was also a luncheon stop for the Guards transporting prisoners from London to Lewes on horse drawn carriages. We cater Breakfasts, Traditional home-cooked pub snacks, Snacks & Dinners. The Gallery is our lovely dining restaurant, offering conventional food, just prepared & home-cooked to order.
