Lamont Lodges Dunoon

General Information

A two-bedroomed 'authentic' log cabin on a tranquil location of 18 lodges within the Argyll Forest Park. Sleeps two people in double or twin suite. Kitchen with loungediner, bathroom and sheltered veranda. Perfect for romantic, weekend or family breaks, for strolling in the pretty woody district around the cabin. Close the the celebrated Benmore botanical terraces and 'James Duncan Cafe'. Waterside strolls, local pubs and restaurants. Ultimate value breaks from Fridays or Mondays. Perfect base for strolling, cycling, relaxing, putting your feet up. The lodge is completely heated prior to your advent but there will be a little metered charge to cover extra electricity used. Up to two more persons may visit by prior arrangement at 20 GB pounds for a person per night.

Transportation

From Glasgow either take the A82 highway towards Campbeltown and six miles behind Arrochar (over the 'Rest and Be Thankful' pass) take the A815 signed Dunoon. The lodge is located on the left a mile behind the entrance hall to the Benmore Botanical Gardens. Alternatively take the M8A8 from Glasgow west to Greenock and continue a further 6 miles along the A8 through Gourock to the 'Western Ferries' terminal. After a 20 mins ferry trip turn right and follow the coat for three miles to Sandbank. Turn right again and follow the A815 highway north for three miles. The lodge is situated within 'Lamont Lodges' on the right approximately 1 mile behind the Cothouse Hotel and Service Station.
